Rules
Must be in good standings with the NAPA
1- Piece Swim Suit (suit must cover the core (abs) region of the body.  Sides and Back can be exposed, however more credit is given for the more modest suit  NO BEDAZZLED OR JEWEL SUITES

LOGO Suites are allowed (i.e.Nike, Jansport etc.)
Bottom must be V-Shaped.
NO thongs or T-Back suits permitted
Athlete must show good sportsmanship
Athlete will appear on stage with heels
Athlete may wear jewelry
No Dream Tan allowed however spray tanning is allowed and made available at the venue for a fee

Judging

Athlete number goes on the bottom left side where judges can see the number.

Judging based on the following
APPEARANCE

  • Beauty of face and figure
  • Proper fit of the swimsuit
  • Energy and Charisma
  • Hair, Make Up, Complexion

PRESENTATION

  •  Poise, Posture, and Carriage
  • Graceful walk and Modeling (turns)
  • Confidence (comfortable in the suit you are wearing)

Symmetry (Body Balance)

  • well-proportioned body
  • proper level of body fat  (competitors are not expected to show definition of muscle groups)
  • good muscle tone (competitors are expected to show a tone body with little to no definition)
  • statement of physical fitness and health

Competitors must wear
ONE-PIECE  swim suit the suit must cover the entire front or core (abs) region

Your sides and back may be exposed, however more credit is given for the more modest suit

Competitors will appear on stage without heels

Posing Prejudging
Athletes will be brought out on stage as a group and will be directed on half turns (front and back).
The head judge may move athletes from time to time so that all the judges get an equal look at all athletes

Posing Finals
Model walk – athlete will walk to the back center stage, stop and do a front stance then walk to the front and do Beauty Turns.
Then proceed back by the side curtain and wait for the class to complete the model walks.
Head judge will ask class to come to front center stage as a group.
Athletes are still being judged when they are standing back by the curtain
No lewd acts are allowed and could result in disqualification

Posing Music
Music for the 1-Piece  Division will be provided by the promoter.

Check In
All athletes’ height will be measured at check in
Numbers are assigned at check in.
Athletes are responsible for their number.
Please have your number properly displayed on your suit.

Backstage
Only athletes, staff and authorized NAPA personal are allowed back stage.
Promoters may choose to sell a limited number of back stage passes.

Athletes will come out in a line to perform mandatory poses as directed by the head judge:

Front double biceps with open hands
Back double biceps with open hands
Side Tricep
Side chest
Front ab with leg extended to show thigh

No lewd acts are allowed and could result in disqualification

Posing Finals

Athletes will perform a routine for 90 seconds or the music will be stopped at 90 seconds
The Promoter may limit the number of athletes actually posing.

Posing Music

Athletes must provide 2 copies of their music.
Music containing profanity or explicit language will not be allowed.
Music for routines that contain explicit language will be replaced with house music.

Check In

All athletes’ height will be measured at check- in
Numbers are assigned at check in.
Athletes are responsible for their number

Backstage

Only athletes, staff and authorized NAPA personal are allowed back stage.

Conditioning

Judges are looking for  a fit competitor that properly shows shape and symmetry.

Mandatory Poses

All competitors will do 1/4 turns and the five mandatory poses

  1. Front Double Biceps
  2. Side Chest
  3. Back Double Bicep
  4. Abdominal and Thighs
  5. Favorite classic Pose (you may NOT do “Most Muscular”)

Finals Round

  1. Posing Routine; up to 60 seconds ( you can provide your own music)
  2. Pose Down (overall title or if there is one one class)

Competition Wear

Athletes are to wear posing (compassion / spandex ) shorts.  YOU ARE NOT TO WEAR BOARD SHORTS OR BODYBUILDING POSING TRUNKS.  You may wear multi colored shorts.

Height and Weight Requirements

1 Class

All competitors no matter the height or weight

1st Division

Over 5′ 4″ up to and including 5’5″   –  up to and including 165 lbs

Over 5’5″, up to and including 5′ 6″  –  up to and including 170 lbs

Over 5′ 6″, up to and including 5’7″  – up to and including 175 lbs

2nd Division

Over 5’7″, up to and including 5′ 8″  – up to and including 182 lbs

Over 5’8″, up to and including 5’9″  – up to and including 190 lbs

Over 5′ 9″, up to and including 5’10”  – up to and including 197 lbs

3rd Division

Over 5′ 10″ –  up to and over 197 lbs

Athletes are to wear shorts, no shirt and barefoot
Athletes doing the moon pose will be disqualified
Athlete will walk to the back center stage, stop and do a front stance then a full turn and walk to the front and repeat. Then proceed back by the side curtain and wait for the class to complete their walks.
The Head Judge will ask the class to come to front center stage as a group.
Athletes are still being judged when they are standing back by the curtain.
No lewd acts are allowed and could result in disqualification

Posing Music
Music for the Men’s Physique Division will be provided by the promoter.

Check In
All athletes’ height will be measured at check in
Numbers are assigned at check in.
Athletes are responsible for their number.

Backstage

Then proceed back by the side of the stage and wait for the class to complete the model walks. The MC will ask all athletes to come to front center stage as a group.
The MC will read off the final Placings

Eligibility

The collegiate division is for any individual that wishes to compete in the event, and is enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education.(High School, post High School, college and post graduate)

**** This is an Optional Division and may not be offered at all NAPA shows. Check with the promoter to see if the show is offering this division.

There is a reduced fee charged for any qualified** contestants that enters the Collegiate Division. (Promoter discretion) A promoter may limit the number of competitors that may enter as a collegiate athlete ***** If that is the case the entry form will make note that the show has a limit on the number of student entries. The total number allowed will be noted on the entry form. Entries are on a first come first served basis. In the event of a dispute, the decision of the NAPA is FINAL and BINDING.

Rules

The rules for the Collegiate Division are the same as the other divisions (bodybuilding, figure, physique, fitness and bikini). Judges will place contestants just as they do in the open, novice and masters divisions with the classes being the same with the following exception(s):
